Weekend 1 of Rahal Ducati Moto's Season is in the Books!
The 2025 MotoAmerica season has officially begun, and weekend 1 was a great start for team Rahal Ducati Moto! This past weekend Riders PJ Jacobsen, Corey Alexander, and Kayla Yaakov took on the iconic Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, as they kicked off their pursuits for the 2025 championship.
The weather this weekend provided a variety of conditions for the riders. Race 1 was in the heat of the day under the Alabama sun, and things changed for Race 2 on Sunday, which saw rain showers throughout the day.
Race 1 saw strong results for all three riders, with PJ Jacobsen standing on the 2nd step of the podium Kayla Yaakov finishing in 5th place and Corey Alexander finishing in 6th. An amazing result for all three riders, and a great way to make a statement for the team in the first race of the season!
Conditions changed for Race 2 on Sunday when the rain came in full force. These conditions provided a new challenge for all riders, as they took on their first wet race of the season. The mixed conditions brought mixed results with PJ Jacobsen securing another podium finishing in 2nd place, Kayla Yaakov finishing in 7th, and a DNF for Corey Alexander. Despite the challenges that Sunday posed, the team is as motivated as ever as they look towards Round 2 of the championship at Road Atlanta. We’ll be cheering them all on as they continue, and we look forward to a strong and fun season ahead!
